Data controller

Data, purposes and legal bases
We process information you voluntarily send us — name, contact details, messages and details about your band or proposed collaboration — to answer enquiries, arrange bookings and consider applications or collaborations, including Catania Cocktail Syndicate. For requests concerning a possible contract, the legal basis is GDPR Article 6(1)(b); for other contacts, our legitimate interest in responding and managing professional relationships (Article 6(1)(f)). Providing information is optional, but without necessary details we may be unable to respond. Contacting us does not automatically subscribe you to newsletters or promotional messages.
Browsing and age declaration
Hosting and security services process technical data, such as IP addresses, browser information and page requests, to deliver the website and prevent abuse. Our legitimate interest is the secure operation of the service (Article 6(1)(f)). The 18+ confirmation stays in browser-tab storage: we do not ask for birth dates or identity documents, or send the answer to the server. We do not profile people or make automated decisions about their enquiries.
Retention
Enquiry emails and band applications are retained for one year from receipt. Contractual or accounting documents are subject to their applicable legal retention obligations. The 18+ confirmation lasts for the tab session; restoring tabs may preserve it. The __cf_bm security cookie expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Provider-managed technical data follows the retention criteria described in their notices, relating to service delivery, security and applicable obligations.
Who accesses data
Operational access to emails and form responses is restricted to authorised Big Daddy’s staff. Technical providers may process data to deliver services: OpenAI Sites hosting and Cloudflare infrastructure, email services and Google Forms for applications. Responses are not published on the website. Data may be disclosed to authorities where required by law.
External services and transfers
Instagram, Google Maps and menu links open external services with their own privacy notices. ChatGPT authentication is for administration; visitors do not need to sign in. International providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Their notices describe processing locations and applicable transfer mechanisms. Your rights
You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Email info@bigdaddys.it: we normally respond within one month, informing you of any extension allowed by the GDPR. You may complain to Italy’s data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it.
Optional analytics — Google Analytics
Only with your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), Google Analytics 4, ID G-GQ59D7B09H, measures visits and clicks on menu and WhatsApp booking buttons. A click does not confirm a booking. The tag is not loaded before consent and is not activated in the administrative area. Google may process online identifiers, device information and usage data; the service is provided by Google Ireland Limited and may involve Google LLC and transfers outside the EEA. Advertising features and Google Signals are disabled in the tag. For Google’s processing and transfer safeguards: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Your choice is stored in localStorage (bd-analytics-consent-v1) for 183 days. The _ga and _ga_GQ59D7B09H cookies are configured with a maximum lifetime of 183 days, without automatic renewal by the tag. Retention of collected Analytics data depends on the property settings and is separate from cookie lifetime. Reject or withdraw consent using “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of the page: tracking is disabled and Analytics cookies accessible to the site are removed. Withdrawal does not retrospectively delete data already collected; contact info@bigdaddys.it to exercise your rights.
Optional advertising — Meta
With your separate consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), we enable Meta pixel 1124573113846963 to send PageView events and measure visits for Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta Platforms Ireland Limited may process your IP address, browser information, page URLs and identifiers and associate them with your Meta account for ad measurement and personalisation. Transfers outside the EEA may occur. We do not intentionally send names, emails or form data; automatic pixel configuration is disabled. The pixel does not load without consent. Your bd-meta-consent-v1 localStorage choice lasts 183 days. Withdraw through Cookie preferences: we disable the pixel and delete _fbp and _fbc cookies accessible to our site; cookies on Meta’s domain are managed through Meta or your browser. Meta’s cookie and data retention periods, transfer safeguards and your rights are described at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy/ and https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies/. Withdrawal does not delete data already collected.
